Quinnipiac University senior Bryan Leitch (Coquitlam, British Columbia) was named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week on Jan. 5, 2008. Leitch led Quinnipiac to a 4-0-0 mark over a six-day period that featured wins over No. 11 Air Force, No. 20 Dartmouth and the 16th Annual Toyota UConn Hockey Classic Championship.

The Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team defeated their second nationally ranked team this week, downing No. 20 Dartmouth, 6-0, at the TD Banknorth Sports Center in Hamden, Conn. Winners of five straight, the Bobcats improve to 11-6-1 overall and 6-3-1 in ECAC Hockey. Dartmouth falls to 8-5-0 on the season and 5-3-0 in league play. Quinnipiac has now won five straight games and nine of their last 11.
