EDISON, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference’s men’s and women’s basketball preseason polls, selected by MAAC’s head coaches around the league, will be revealed during the “2013-14 MAAC Basketball Coaches Preview Show,” which will be televised on ESPN3 at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
The “2013-14 MAAC Basketball Coaches Preview Show” promises to give college hoops fans an early look at the upcoming MAAC season, as men’s and women’s head coaches will be featured throughout the show and will take an in-depth look at the league’s teams and top players.
The preseason polls for both men’s and women’s basketball which will be announced during the show were selected by the MAAC’s head coaches.
The MAAC will also unveil its 2013-14 ESPNU and ESPN2 television schedule on the “Preseason Show.” Last year, the MAAC extended its agreement with ESPN by six years for enhanced coverage of men’s and women’s basketball across multiple national platforms, which includes the National MAAC Game of the Week on ESPN3.

Both teams will begin their seasons in the second weekend of November. The women’s team plays first as the Bobcats are one of 16 teams in the 2013 Preseason Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT). Quinnipiac will host North Carolina A&T in the opening round of the invitation-only tournament on Friday, November 8, 2013. Tip-off is slated for 5 p.m. at the TD Bank Sports Center.
The men’s basketball team’s season opens at the Connecticut 6 Classic on Saturday, November 9 against Hartford. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard.
