Stephen Sumakis is in his second season as a managerial staff member of the men’s basketball team. He assists the coaching staff in a wide variety of duties, concentrating on video management.
Now in his junior year, Stephen is enrolled in a challenging Finance program with a minor in Economics at Quinnipiac University. The finance program prepares graduates for career opportunities in equities and fixed income analysis and portfolio management, corporate finance, financial services, working capital management, asset valuation, banking and credit analysis.
Prior to Quinnipiac, Sumakis attended Harborfields High School and graduated in 2010. He was a two-sport athlete for the Tornados – excelling in both soccer and basketball in his four-year career. In his final year at Harborfields, he led the men’s basketball team to a County Championship following League A and Small School titles. The team’s final record was 20-4 overall and 13-1 in conference competition.
Sumakis is a founding father of PI Kappa Phi fraternity where he serves on the Executive Board specializing in Social Risk Management.
