Maxx McNall joins the Quinnipiac sports information staff in 2012 as a graduate assistant and the direct media contact for women’s ice hockey, softball, women's volleyball, men’s and women’s cross country, and women’s indoor and outdoor track.
McNall will be working towards a master’s degree in Public Relations after having graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Print Journalism and minor in Political Science at Quinnipiac in May 2012. In his undergraduate years he served as sports information assistant in addition to working as a front desk work study attendant for the Mount Carmel Recreation Center. In addition, he was a four-year contributor as a staff writer to the student-run Quinnipiac Chronicle.
During the summer of 2011, he contributed with the making of “Cutting Vermont” on the mobile and tablet production The Asphalt. He developed a Google Map, 3-minute video and 2-minute podcast relating to the cut of the University of Vermont’s baseball program. The venture featured the work of three former Quinnipiac students along with a faculty member and was published in the spring of 2012.
As a senior, he completed an internship with the Connecticut Sun during the 2011 season, serving as the Public Relations intern. He assisted with the media relations department on game note production, web content, statistical analysis, quotes, data entry, event support, photography, player interviews, media credentials, and game setup.
He is the son of Glenn and Karen McNall and was born in Fairfax, Vt.
