Ryan Fuller joins Quinnipiac Baseball Head Coach Dan Gooley'scoaching staff for the 2013 season as an assistant coach.
Fuller comes to Quinnipiac after a two-year career at theUniversity of Connecticut, where he was the Huskies starting thirdbaseman. After transferring to UConn from Connecticut Avery Point,Fuller was an All-BIG EAST selection as a junior and named theteam's captain as a senior in 2012, while also going on to be namedan NEIBA All-Star.
While at Avery Point, Fuller led the team to the NJCAA WorldSeries where they finished as the national runner-up. That season,he was also an All-New England and All-East District honoree.Following his playing career at UConn, Fuller was signed as anundrafted free agent by the Arizona Diamondbacks and assigned tothe AZL D-Backs.
Scholastically, Fuller was athree-time All-Conference and All-Area selection duringhis high school career at Old Lyme. Outside of his playing career,Fuller also coached in the Connecticut Tides 13 & 16 year oldAAU baseball programs while also serving as a counselor at theUniversity of Connecticut Baseball School. A two-year member ofUConn's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, he alsovolunteered with the COPE Mentoring Program in Mansfield, Conn. andalso within the Verplank School district.
Fuller graduated from Connecticut in 2012 with a bachelors inenglish. He currently resides in Lyme, Conn.
