The Department of Athletics and Recreation is committed to Quinnipiac University’s strategic plan for Inclusion, Multiculturalism, and Globalism in Education (IMaGinE). The University and the athletic department foster respect for each individual by honoring the differences inherent among people. As an intellectual community of learners and scholars, we recognize and appreciate our common humanity. The athletic department’s IMaGinE committee is responsible for meeting the plan’s three overarching goals.

1.)    Campus Climate: To advance and sustain an inclusive climate that is diverse, multicultural, and global by fostering a learning environment that recognizes, values, and integrates all members in our commitment to academic and athletic excellence.

2.)    Accountability: To establish and review regularly the structures, processes, and policies for monitoring and evaluating progress that hold the entire University community accountable for advancing an environment where individual identities and ideas are treated equitably.

3.)    Growth and Sustainability: To develop programs and initiatives that will continually advance leadership, innovation and the exchange of ideas to maximize our ability to benefit from an integrated environment.
