Kevin Noonan enters his first year as a graduate assistant in the Sports Information Department. He is the primary contact for women’s ice hockey, baseball, and men’s and women’s tennis, and is also the secondary contact for men’s ice hockey. He is studying in the MBA program at Quinnipiac.
Noonan graduated from Quinnipiac with a degree in Journalism with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism while minoring in Sports Studies. Along with his classes, Noonan was part of the Quinnipiac Bobcats Sports Network (QBSN) and the Communications Honor Society, Lambda Pi Eta. He was on the Dean’s List every semester as an undergraduate student.
Noonan has done a wide variety of work in the field of communications. With QBSN, Noonan was the Chairman of the organization and provided Play by Play and Color Commentary for many Quinnipiac sports. Noonan also provided game recaps and features for theqbsn.com as well as feature stories for QBSN: The Magazine. Outside of QBSN, Noonan covered the men’s and women’s ice hockey teams for USCHO.com for the 2013-14 season and was part of USCHO’s coverage of the 2014 Women’s Frozen Four at High Point Solutions Arena.
Outside of Quinnipiac, Noonan worked for the Mystic Schooners of the New England Collegiate Baseball League for three seasons, and was named the Director of Communications and Operations his third year. Part of his duties were to provide Play-by-Play and Press Releases for 42 game regular season as well as playoffs.
Noonan is from North Stonington, Connecticut and currently resides in North Haven, Connecticut.
