HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac University baseball team lost its third straight game to Sacred Heart, 3-2, in a Northeast Conference match-up at the Quinnipiac Baseball Field in Hamden, Conn. Ryan Ullrich (Woodbrige, Conn.) then dropped down a bunt and beat the throw to first for an infield single to load the bases. After Chris Migani (Orange, Conn.) popped out for the first out of the inning, Bryn Doyle's (Manchester, N.H.) fly ball to deep right-center field score Farina with an unearned run to pull Quinnipiac within a run at 2-1.

In the top of the 8th, Tyler Santos hit an offering from Duffy down the left field line where Farina's diving catch came up short, allowing Santos to move to second with a double with two outs. Heppner then hit a ground ball to third base that was over-thrown to first base, allowing Santos to score an unearned run and give Sacred Heart a 3-1 lead.

In the bottom of the 9th, Ullrich ground out to second before Migani singled up the middle and moved to second base on a passed ball. After Doyle flew out to left field for the second out the inning, Brian Monack (Branford, Conn.) hit a line drive to left field for a hit, scoring Migani from second base to pull Quinnipiac within a run, 3-2.
