      <description>Quinnipiac University junior Kyle Nisson (Wallingford, Conn.) was named to the Division I team that will face a team comprised of Division II and III players from New England in the 37th Annual New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association All-Star Game on Thursday, June 2 at  7 p.m. at LeLacheur Park in Lowell, Mass. Nisson is the first Quinnipiac player selected to play in the game since Andy Mayer played in the 2007 game at Fenway Park in Boston, Mass.</description>

Quinnipiac is now 10-20 in the Northeast Conference and 14-31 overall while Bryant improves to 14-11 in NEC play and 24-22 overall.</description>

Farina is now 10 hits shy of tying Ryan Rizzo '07 for the second most hits in program history, and 18 from the Quinnipiac record, currently held by assistant coach Tim Binkoski '07, who totaled 245 hits for his career. Kyle Nisson (Wallingford, Conn.) and Zak Palmer (Mahwah, N.J.) also collected two hits in the Bobcats' loss.</description>

With the split, Quinnipiac goes to 10-12 in NEC play while Wagner moves to 9-13 in conference action.Junior captain Chris Migani (Orange, Conn.) was 4-for-5 with a pair of solo home runs to give him a team-leading five for the year. Migani also increased his season-leading RBI total to 27 after he drove in three runs for the day. Ben Farina (Waterford, Conn.) also managed four hits for the day, splitting his total between both games for back-to-back two-hit performances. Freshman Nick Civale (East Windsor, Conn.) drove in three runs in his first two career Northeast Conference starts.</description>

#$%^(Waterford, Conn.) and Chris Migani (Orange, Conn.). Migani was 4-for-5 with two doubles, four RBI and three runs scored &#xD;
#$%^while Nisson was 3-for-4 with two RBI in the second game of the doubleheader. Joe Poletsky's (Riverside, Conn.) sacrifice &#xD;
#$%^fly in the first inning of the second game gave the senior All-NEC third baseman 100 career runs-batted-in. Poletsky is now &#xD;
#$%^the 14th player in Quinnipiac history to reach the 100 RBI mark and the 10th player in program history to reach 170 hits, 100 &#xD;

Quinnipiac is now 9-9 in the NEC and 13-16 overall while LIU improves to 18-13 overall and 10-4 in conference play.&#xD;

Quinnipiac will kick-off the second half of their NEC schedule on Friday, April 15 at with a doubleheader at 1 p.m. consisting of a nine-inning game, followed by a seven-inning game. On Saturday, April 16, the Bobcats and Blackbirds will play a seven-inning game followed by a nine-inning game at 1 p.m.</description>

Her father, Jim Vashon, will be throwing out the ceremonial first  pitch while Katie's sorority, Phi Sigma Sigma, will be holding a bake sale to raise funds for the Katie Vashon Endowment at Camp Sunshine in Casco, Maine. The money raised allows for two children suffering from chronic illnesses and their families to spend one week each &#xD;
#$%^summer at this camp which was held close to Katie's heart. Katie Vashon was a senior from Hermon, Maine who worked in &#xD;
#$%^the Quinnipiac University Sports Information &#xD;
#$%^Department for four years before she suddenly passed away after a brief battle with leukemia in 2005. Katie was majoring &#xD;
#$%^in &#xD;
#$%^public relations and &#xD;
#$%^belonged to the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority as well as the School of Communications honorary society Lambda Pi Eta.</description>
