The Quinnipiac baseball team will square-off against the University of Richmond in the second game of a three-game set in Richmond, Va. on Saturday, March 12 at 2 p.m. Quinnipiac took the first game of the series, 6-5 in 10 innings, to improve to 3-1 through their first four games while Richmond fell to 4-9-2 on the season. Quinnipiac's three wins in their first four games are the best start to a season since Quinnipiac joined the Division I ranks. Their previous best start - 2-2 through four games- was in 2007.

scored the game-winning run while also going 3-for-5 with two runs
scored. Anthony Cinelli (Wall, N.J.) picked the win in
relief after allowing one run over the final three innings pitched,
while also giving up five hits.
Freshman Zak Palmer (Mahwah, N.J.) was 3-for-3 for the day with two RBI. Joe Poletsky (Riverside, Conn.) was 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored. Kyle Birdsall (Orange, Conn.) took a no-decision in his second start of the year after allowing four runs - three earned - on six hits over five innings. Andrew Rinaldi (East Rockaway, N.Y.) pitched two scoreless innings, giving up three hits and striking out three.
The Bobcats close-out their series against Richmond on Sunday, March 13 with a nine-inning game set for a 1 p.m. start.
