Zak Palmer and Vincent Guglietti Earn All-Northeast Conference Honors
HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac baseball sophomore Zak Palmer (Mahwah, N.J.) and freshman Vincent Guglietti (East Haven, Conn.) earned All-Northeast Conference honors as announced by the conference office on Wednesday, May 16, 2012. Palmer was named as an All-NEC First Team selection at third base while Guglietti earned Second Team honors as a designated hitter.
The honors give Quinnipiac its 29th and 30th All-NEC honors since joining the league in 1998. Palmer is the first player since John Delaney in 2008 to be named to the NEC First Team while Guglietti is the first freshman in program history to earn NEC honors. He's also Quinnipiac's second All-NEC designated hitter all-time, joining Brien Magee in 2005.
