Fabrizio got the nod for the second game of Quinnipiac's four-game
set against LIU Brooklyn, and made the most of his final start of
the season. Fabrizio took a no-hitter into the sixth inning before
finishing with his first career victory in a 1-0 pitcher's duel.
After a pair of LIU batters reached in the third, Fabrizio retired
the next nine batters he faced before a high fly ball down the
third base line dropped in for a hit. Fabrizio fanned seven batters
over seven innings to pick up the win. Fabrizio completed his
second year with the Bobcats, his first as one of
Quinnipiac’s four weekend starters, with a team-best 4.74
earned-run-average after holding the opposition to 30 earned runs
over 57 innings pitched. He also struck-out 40 batters in that span
for a 6.32 strikeouts-per-nine-innings ratio while his four
complete games were second in the Bobcats’ rotation.
