As a Junior:
Started in 10 of the 11 games that he appeared in…Had a 1-7 record and a 5.40 ERA, while striking out 65 hitters in 61.2 innings…Started on opening day for the Bobcats on Mar. 2 at Fordham, threw six hitless innings, walked two, and struck out a career-high 13 hitters, but was dealt a no decision as the Bobcats fell 3-2…Pitched a complete game against Wagner on Mar. 16, giving up just one run on eight hits, while striking out six, but took the 1-0 loss… Earned his only victory of the year on Apr. 13 against Mount St. Mary’s…Threw 6.2 innings, giving up three runs on seven hits and striking out eight in the Bobcats’ 17-3 win.
As a Sophomore:
After leading the team in starts with 11, he posted a 4-5 record, 3.41 ERA, 63.1 innings, 47 strikeouts, three complete games and one shutout, all good for at least a share of first on the team among pitchers with at least 10 appearances…Ranked 8th overall in the Northeast Conference in ERA…Landed a tie for 9th in the NEC for fewest hits allowed (68), 6th in earned runs allowed (24), and tied for 1st in doubles allowed (9)…Through his first five starts (3-1 record), he surrendered just four earned runs in 33.2 innings (1.07 ERA)…Took the hard luck loss in his first start of the season, allowing three runs (one earned) on six hits in five innings against Marshall on March 4…Won his next three starts over which he held opposing hitters to a .194 (14-72) batting average and gave up just two runs in 20 innings…Earned his first victory of the season over Richmond on Mar. 12 as he went six strong innings allowing one run on four hits and striking out six…Threw his first career shutout on Mar. 18 facing Fairleigh Dickinson striking out five in seven scoreless frames…Followed with another complete game victory on Mar. 25 against Mount Saint Mary’s as he gave up four hits and one run in seven innings…Went 8 2/3 innings, allowed just two runs (one earned), and struck out five, but came away with a no-decision on April 2 against Sacred Heart…Struck out a career high seven batters in six innings in a April 21 start against Wagner…Finished the season earning his fourth victory, allowing two runs in a complete game effort (nine innings) on May 8 against Bryant.
As a Freshman:
Finished the year at 2-6 with a 8.92 ERA...Had 32 strikeouts in 35.1 innings pitched...Held Duke to two scoreless, hitless innings in relief on Mar. 9...Held William & Mary to one run on three hits over 3 1/3 innings pitched in relief...Picked up his first career win on Apr. 23 against CCSU...Held the Blue Devils to one earned run (three unearned) over two innings while striking out three...Picked up his first career save when he pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings against CCSU on Apr. 25...Picked up his second relief victory of the season against Fairleigh Dickinson on May 7.
Two-year varsity letterwinner at Holy Cross (N.Y.) High School...As a senior, he batted .448, in addition to pitching 13 innings, totaling 21 strikeouts, walking just three batters and hosting a sub-2.00 ERA...Named Long Island Titans Gold Most Valuable Player...Earned All-City First Team honors, while also becoming a three-time Scholar Athlete of the Year...Also served as the Vice President of the National Honor Society.
