The Quinnipiac
University field hockey team will take on Lock Haven University on
the Eagles home turf on Friday, Oct. 2 at 5 p.m. The game will be
the first Northeast Conference match-up of the season for both
teams. Quinnipiac stands at 7-3 overall while Quinnipiac is
1-7.
Scouting Lock
Haven University
Lock Haven is
currently 7-3 overall with wins in their last four games. Lock
Haven won the NEC Regular-Season and Tournament Championships last
season. Amy Hordendorf leads Lock Haven with nine goals and 19
points. Alanna Lewis and Emma Wessner are tied for the team lead
with four assists apiece. Eight different Eagles have scored for
Lock Haven, with five scoring multiple goals. Erin Terreson has
logged every minute in goal for Lock Haven, stopping 46 of 62 shots
in goal for a .742 save percentage. With 16 goals scored against
her in over 700 minutes in net, Terreson also carries a 2.05
goals-against average.
All-Time Against The Eagles
Quinnipiac and Lock Haven have faced each other six times since
their first meeting on Oct. 8, 2004. Quinnipiac's only win of the
all-time series was a 1-0 victory on Oct. 20, 2006 in Hamden, Conn.
Lock Haven has won the last three match-ups between the two teams.
The last two meetings came last season, with the second pitting
Quinnipiac against Lock Haven in the NEC Tournament
Semifinals.
