The Quinnipiac Field Hockey team played their final international "friendly" on Tuesday, June 21. The Bobcats defeated the Gibraltar National Team, 1-0, to conclude their European Tour at 3-0-1.

Field Hockey Finish As Runner-Ups At 6th Annual Longstreth Spring Cup At Quinnipiac University
The Quinnipiac field hockey finished 2nd out of nine teams at the 6th Annual Longstreth Spring Cup hosted by Quinnipiac University at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey Turf Complex in Hamden, Conn. Jess Rusin (Garwood, N.J.) accounted for half of Quinnipiac's goals in a three-goal, one-assist showing at the tournament while Kaitlyn Notarianni (Clarks Summit, Pa.) had a pair of assists. Kim Cunniff (Walpole, Mass.) had a goal and an assist.

Field Hockey Undefeated In Four Games At Quinnipiac University Field Hockey Spring Tournament
The Quinnipiac University field hockey team went undefeated in four games at the Quinnipiac University Field Hockey Spring Tournament on Saturday, April 2 in Hamden, Conn. Kim Cunniff (Walpole, Mass.) scored three goals on the day while Kaitlyn Notarianni (Clarks Summit, Pa.) added two goals for the Bobcats.

Field Hockey Posts 2-1-1 Mark At Monmouth Spring Tournament
Kaitlyn Notarianni (Clarks Summit, Pa.) and Megan McCreedy (White River, South Africa) led the Quinnipiac field hockey team to a 2-1-1 record in a four-game set at the Monmouth Spring Tournament. Quinnipiac defeated LaSalle in the first game, 2-0, before falling to St. Joseph's, 0-1. The Bobcats bounced back with a 2-1 win against Rutger's before tying Monmouth, 1-1.

Field Hockey Places 10 On 2010 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad
The Quinnipiac University field hockey placed 10 student-athletes on the 20190 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad, as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association this week. The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2010-11 academic year.

Field Hockey Signs Five Student-Athletes To National Letters of Intent
Quinnipiac field hockey head coach Becca Main Kohli has announced the signing of five student-athletes to National Letters of Intent for the 2011 season. Joining the Bobcats in the fall are Nikki Schultz (Cortland Manor, N.Y.), Megan Conaboy (Clarks Summit, Pa.), Danielle Allan (Pompton Lakes, N.J.), Emily Dillon (Canton, Mass.) and Charlotte Ryan (London, UK).

Quinnipiac field hockey senior Tina Watkins (Sweet Valley, Pa.) was one of three Northeast Conference players named to the 2010 Longstreth/NFHCA Division I All-Mideast Region team. Watkins was previously named to the All-Northeast Conference First Team.

Field Hockey Lands Five On All-Northeast Conference Team
The Quinnipiac University field hockey team had five players named to the All-Northeast Conference First and Second Teams, as announced at the annual Northeast Conference Field Hockey banquet on the eve of the NEC Tournament. Kim Cunniff (Walpole, Mass.) and Tina Watkins (Sweet Valley, Pa.) were named to the First Team while Kaitlyn Notarianni (Clarks Summit, Pa.), Lauren Zimniski (Dallas, Pa.) and Katie Van Nostrand (Derry, N.H.) were named to the Second Team. The Bobcats' five players are the second most honored by one team this year, behind Monmouth's six, in the eight-team Northeast Conference.

Field Hockey Falls In NEC Semifinals To Rider, 4-2
The Quinnipiac field hockey team lost to NEC top-ranked Rider in the second game of the NEC Tournament in Lawrenceville, N.J. Quinnipiac finishes the year at 8-10 overall and 4-4 in the NEC while Rider improves to 15-3 overall and 8-0 against Northeast Conference schools and will advance to the NEC Championship Game against Monmouth.

Field Hockey's Katie Van Nostrand and Kaitlyn Notarianni To Appear On WQAQ On Wednesday, Nov. 3 At 5:15 PM
Quinnipiac field hockey senior Katie Van Nostrand (Derry, N.H.) and junior Kaitlyn Notarianni (Clark Summit, Pa.) will appear as guests on WQAQ 98.1 FM's 'T'd Up' with Miles McQuiggan and Nick Sczerbinski. The student sports talk show runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and covers a variety of topics. The two field hockey veterans will appear to discuss the 2010 season and the upcoming Northeast Conference Field Hockey Championships this weekend. The Bobcats play at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5 against No. 1 Rider on the Broncs home turf in Lawrenceville, N.J.

With a 5-1 win against Siena on Sunday, Oct. 31, the Quinnipiac University field hockey team clinched the fourth seed in the 2010 Northeast Conference Field Hockey Championship Tournament. The Bobcats will face NEC top-ranked Rider on the Broncs home turf on Friday, Nov. 5 at 1:30 p.m. in Lawrenceville, N.J. The winner of the first game of the day, pitting No. 2 Monmouth against No. 3 Bryant at 11 a.m., and the winner of the Bobcats' tilt with Rider, will advance to the NEC Championship Game on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 12 p.m.

The Quinnipiac University field hockey team clinched the fourth and final berth in the 2010 Northeast Conference Field Hockey Tournament with a 5-1 win against Siena. The Bobcats finish the regular season at 4-3 in conference play and 8-9 overall while Siena drops to 2-16 overall and 0-7 in NEC action.

The Quinnipiac University field hockey team will host Siena on Sunday, Oct. 31 for Senior Day, set to being at 1 p.m. Seniors Amanda DeLouise, MacKenzie Liptak, Katie Van Nostrand and Tina Watkins will all be honored prior to the start of their final game at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey & Lacrosse Turf Complex in Hamden, Conn. Quinnipiac is currently 7-9 overall and 3-3 in the NEC Tournamnet. Quinnipiac needs a win or a Saint Francis (Pa.) loss to advance to the NEC Tournament.

The Quinnipiac University field hockey team defeated Robert Morris, 3-1, in a Northeast Conference match-up at Joe Walton Stadium in Moon Township, Pa. With the win, Quinnipiac improves to 3-2 in NEC play, and 7-8 overall, while Robert Morris drops to 4-12 overall and 1-4 in conference action. The Bobcats are coming off a 1-0 loss to Rider, in overtime, and currently stand at 1-1 in NEC play and 5-7 overall. Monmouth is 2-0 in the NEC and 10-3 overall.

Kim Cunniff Named To WomensFieldHockey.com National Honor Roll
Junior Kim Cunniff (Walpole, Mass.) was named to the WomensFieldHockey.com Weekly Honor Roll after being named the Northeast Conference Field Hockey Player of the Week on Monday, Oct. 11. Cunniff led the Bobcats with two goals and an assist as Quinnipiac ran their recent winning streak to three games. Cunniff was the first Quinnipiac player since the 2007 season to be named NEC Player of the Week twice in the same year and one of seven players all time at Quinnipiac. The Bobcats (5-6, 1-0 NEC) host Rider (8-3, 1-0 NEC) today at 3:30 p.m. at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey & Lacrosse Turf Complex. Quinnipiac will also host Monmouth on Sunday, Oct. 17 at 1 p.m.

The Quinnipiac University field hockey team, in collaboration with Brown University at Tuesday, Oct. 5's field hockey game, raised over $1,000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation 'Play For The Cure' initiative in support of breast cancer research. Parents, friends and and supporters lined the fence at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey & Lacrosse Turf Complex in Hamden, Conn. for the cause, on a cold, rainy afternoon.

Cunniff's Two Goals, In Second Straight Game, Lead Field Hockey To 4-2 Win Against Brown
Kimberly Cunniff (Walpole, Mass.) scored twice, in her second consecutive game, to lead Quinnipiac to a 4-2 win against #$%^Brown in a non-conference match-up at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey & Lacrosse Turf Complex in Hamden, Conn. Cunniff #$%^becomes the first player in two seasons, since MacKenzie Liptak (Schuylerville, N.Y.), to scored two goals in back-to-back #$%^games, and the first player to score in three straight games since Liptak and Christine Grady (Enfield, Conn.) accomplished the #$%^feat in 2008. Quinnipiac improves to 4-6 with the win.

Field Hockey To "Play For The Cure" Against Brown On Tuesday, Oct. 5
Quinnipiac returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 5 when it hosts Brown University at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey & Lacrosse Turf Complex in Hamden, Conn. at 4 p.m. The Bobcats will be sponsoring a fund raiser that day to support Breast Cancer Awareness through the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Bobcat fans are invited to wear pink that day in support of Breast Cancer Awareness, while parents of both teams will be holding a bake sale at the field to raise funds.

Quinnipiac junior Kimberly Cunniff (Walpole, Mass.) was named the Northeast Conference Field Hockey Player of the Week on Monday, Sept. 27. Cunniff is the second Quinnipiac player to earn the award this season after classmate Kaitlyn Notarianni (Clark Summit, Pa.) won the award on Aug. 30.

Quinnipiac University junior Kaitlyn Notarianni (Clarks Summit, Pa.) has been named the Northeast Conference Field Hockey Co-Player of the Week, the league office today announced. Notarianni recorded her first-career hat trick, resulting in the Bobcats' first season-opening win since 2005.

Quinnipiac senior Amanda DeLouise (Cheshire, Conn.) was featued in her hometown newspaper, the Cheshire Herald, in an article written by Greg Lederer. DeLouise is entering her fourth year at Quinnipiac, and has earned the starting spot in the cage for the Bobcats. Quinnipiac will travel to Bethlehem, Pa. on Sunday, Aug. 29 for its season opener against Lehigh at 1 p.m. The Bobcats then host Boston College on Friday, Sept. 3 at 4 p.m. for their home opener.

Field Hockey Picked To Finish Third In NEC Preseason Poll
The Quinnipiac University field hockey team was picked to finish third, receiving one first-place vote, in the 2010 Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Bobcats finished last season 5-3 in the NEC, clinching the third seed in the 2009 NEC Tournament. The Bobcats open the 2010 season on Sunday, Aug. 29 at Lehigh at 1 p.m. in Bethehem, Pa. before hosting Boston College on Friday, Sept. 3 at 4 p.m. at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey & Lacrosse Turf Complex in Hamden, Conn. Boston College finished the 2009 season ranked ninth nationally.

Field Hockey Student-Athletes Compete In Ragnar Relay
Field hockey senior captain Katie Van Nostrand (Derry, N.H.) participated in the 2010 Ragnar Relay, with former Quinnipiac field hockey stand-outs Jillian Carroll and Shannon Whittemore, on May 21-22, 2010. The race, a 180-mile trek from New Haven, Conn. to Boston, Mass., was completed in 24 hours.
