Quinnipiac Field Hockey Alumni Win $10,000 At First-Ever 4Goals Cup
The Quinnipiac field hockey team fielded an alumni squad consisting of 13 Bobcat graduates that won $10,000 at the first-ever 4Goals Cup on July 27-28, 2013 at Brown University in Providence, R.I. The team was organized by former Bobcats’ stand-out Bonnie Shea ’10.

Members of Quinnipiac Field Hockey Volunteer at Sandy Hook Run for the Families 5K Held in Hartford
The undeniably tragic story of Sandy Hook Elementary School has sent shockwaves across the world. Hundreds of thousands of supporters have lent a hand through the aftermath in hopes of rebuilding a town and members of the community back to the once vibrant town. On Saturday, March 23 members of the Quinnipiac field hockey team did their part as they joined thousands of volunteers, 15,000 runners and 30,000 spectators for the Sandy Hook Run for the Families 5K.

Angie King (South Windsor, Conn.), Casey Keifer (Bangor, Pa.), Evonna Ackourey (Dallas, Pa.), Lily Shermo (Luzerne, Pa.), Lea Dietrichs (Lueneberg, Germany) and Allison Tanner (Short Hills, N.J.) will join the Bobcats next season.

Men’s Soccer’s Philip Suprise and Field Hockey’s Nicole Lewis Named Quinnipiac’s November Athletes of the Month
Quinnipiac men’s soccer senior Philip Surprise (Milwaukee, Wis.) and field hockey senior Nicole Lewis (East Amherst, N.Y.) were named the Male and Female Athletes of the Month for the month of November, announced on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. The two seniors recently concluded tremendous careers with their respective programs.

Quinnipiac field hockey head coach Becca Main and her 2001 team were part of the Quinnipiac Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2012, inducted on Nov. 10, 2012. Main is one of 11 coaches in Quinnipiac history to be inducted into the Hall of Fame while her 2001 squad became the eighth team to be honored.

The Quinnipiac field hockey team qualified for the 2012 Northeast Conference Tournament with a pair of victories last weekend to clinch the No. 4 seed in the championship series. The Bobcats will face regular-season champions and No. 1 seed Rider on Friday, Nov. 2 at 1:30 p.m. at Ben Cohen Turf Field in Lawrenceville, N.J. No. 2 seed Saint Francis (Pa.) will face No. 3 seed Monmouth at 11 a.m. with the winner of each game playing on Saturday, Nov. 3 for the NEC Tournament Championship.

Quinnipiac senior Lauren Zimniski (Dallas, Pa.) scored the Bobcats’ only goal in a 4-1 loss to Rider in the 2012 Northeast Conference Field Hockey Semifinals at Ben Cohen Field in Lawrenceville, N.J. Quinnipiac finishes the year at 12-6 while Rider advances to the NEC Championship Game.

Quinnipiac field hockey senior Nicole Lewis (East Amherst, N.Y.) was named the Northeast Conference Field Hockey Goalkeeper of the Year at the 2012 NEC Field Hockey Banquet at Rider University in Lawrenceville, N.J. The 2012 NEC Field Hockey Championship tournament is set to commence on Friday, Nov. 2 at Rider’s Ben Cohen Field.

Field Hockey Clinches NEC Tournament Berth With 3-0 Win Against Bryant; Bobcats Face Rider In NEC Semifinals On Friday, Nov. 2
The Quinnipiac field hockey team clinched the fourth and final berth in the Northeast Conference Tournament with a 3-0 win against Bryant. The Bobcats finish the regular season at 12-6 overall and 5-2 in the NEC while Bryant drops to 6-13 overall and 3-4 in conference play.The Bobcats' 12 victories match the program record for wins set by the 2002 team.

Field Hockey "Plays For The Cure" When Siena Visits On Oct. 26
The Quinnipiac field hockey team will play its final home game of the regular season when the Siena College Saints come to Hamden on Friday, Oct. 26. The team will sponsor a raffle with proceeds to benefit the Susan G. Koman "Play For The Cure" fund to support breast cancer research. The Northeast Conference match-up is slated for a 3 p.m. start at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey Turf Complex in Hamden, Conn. The Bobcats close out the regular season on the road on Sunday, Oct. 28 when they head to Smithfield, R.I. to take on the Bryant University Bulldogs at 1 p.m.

Colucci Scores Twice; Field Hockey Rolls Past Siena, 5-0
The Quinnipiac University field hockey team recorded a season-high five goals on Friday afternoon, as the Bobcats cruised past Siena College, 5-0, in their 2012 regular-season home finale at the QU Field Hockey Turf. Senior Cate Colucci (Gloucester, R.I.) spearheaded the Bobcats attack with two goals, improving the team’s overall record to 11-6, 4-2 in the Northeast Conference.

The Bobcats open the year at 1-0 in NEC play while they also improve to 8-4 on the season. Sacred Heart drops to 5-6 overall and 0-1 in the NEC.

Rusin, Danziger and Colucci Score To Lead Field Hockey To 3-1 Win Against Harvard
Jess Rusin (Garwood, N.J.) had a goal and an assist as the Quinnipiac field hockey team defeated Harvard, 2-1, in a non-conference match-up at Jordan Field in Cambridge, Mass. With the win, Quinnipiac wins its third straight to improve to 7-4 the season, giving the Bobcats their most non-conference wins in a single-season in program history. Quinnipiac previously won six non-conference games in 2011 and 2003. Quinnipiac’s 7-4 record matches its best record through the team’s first 11 games since the 2005 season.

The Quinnipiac field hockey team held on for a 3-2 win against American at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey Turf Complex in Hamden, Conn. Quinnipiac led 3-1 after the first half, and after giving up a second half goal, turned back a pair of corner attempts to hold on for the win. With the win, the Bobcats improve to 5-4 on the season while American drops to 3-6 on the year.

The Quinnipiac field hockey team defeated Towson, 3-1, in its 2012 home opener at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey Turf Complex in Hamden, Conn. Junior Jennalise Taylor (Yardley, Pa.) once-again paced the Bobcats' offense, factoring into all three Quinnipiac goals. Quinnipiac opens the season at 2-0 for the first time in the program's Division I history.
