Field Hockey Places 16 Student-Athletes On 2012 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad

Quinnipiac field hockey was recently honored with 16 recipients named to the 2012 Gladiator by SGI/NHFCA Division I National Academic Squad. Quinnipiac was honored earlier in the week, as one of 63 NCAA Division I field hockey programs to receive the 2012 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Award for a combined 3.00 GPA or higher. The Bobcats posted a team-wide GPA of 3.35.

Among those honored were four-year recipients Kristin Engelke (Medford, N.J.), 2012 Northeast Conference Field Hockey Scholar Athlete of the Year Nicole Lewis (East Amherst, N.Y.) and Lauren Zimniski (Dallas, Pa.). Danielle Allan (Riverdale, N.J.), Ashleigh Allen (Glastonbury, Conn.), Megan Conaboy (Clarks Summit, Pa.), Amanda Danziger (Smithtown, N.Y.), Natalia Maurillo (Chatham, N.J.), Kacie McCreesh (Perkaski, Pa.), Megan Osantisch (Hartwinton, Conn.), Savanna Reilly (Hamden, Conn.), Christa Romano (Madison, N.J.), Jess Rusin (Garwood, N.J.), Nikki Schultz (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.), Jennalise Taylor (Yardley, Pa.) and Meg Williamson (Cos Cob, Conn.) were also honored.

All 16 were also named to the Northeast Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll.
