Megan Conaboy Named MAAC Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week

Quinnipiac goalkeeper Megan Conaboy (Clarks Summit, Pa.) was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 22, 2013, as announced by the MAAC office. 

The sophomore goalkeeper recorded her fourth shutout of the season, backstopping the Bobcats to a 3-0 win against Robert Morris to the tune of six saves. Her numbers against the Colonials give her a 1.000 save percentage and a 0.00 goals against average. Conaboy's 9th win of the year is the 8th highest single-season total in school history

Conaboy wins the weekly award for the second straight week, while also earning it for the third time this season. In addition to Conaboy, Jess Rusin was named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 15 while Kristin Engelke earned the honor on Sept. 23. 

Quinnipiac is back in action this weekend when it travels to Rider on Friday, Oct. 25 before heading to Monmouth on Sunday, Oct. 27.
