Field Hockey Can Capture Share of MAAC Regular-Season Championship With Win At Siena On Sunday, Nov. 3 At 1 PM

Quinnipiac field hockey will head to Loudonville, N.Y. to take on Siena on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 1 p.m. With a win, the Bobcats will capture a share of the 2013 MAAC Field Hockey Regular-Season Championship.

When They Play Again
With its 4-2 win against Monmouth last Sunday, the Bobcats punched their ticket to the first MAAC Championship tournament, to be hosted by Rider University in Lawrenceville, N.J. on Nov. 8-9. At 4-1, the Bobcats have clinched the No. 2 seed in the tournament and will play the No. 3 seed on Friday, Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. 

Their Last Time Out
On Friday, Nov. 1, Quinnipiac and Bryant played to a scoreless tie through regulation. In overtime, senior Amanda Danziger (Smithtown, N.Y.) scored less than three minutes into the frame to give Quinnipiac the 1-0 win. The win was the Bobcats second straight victory, as well as its sixth in its last seven games and 10th in its last 12.  

Scouting The Siena Saints
Siena picked up its first victory since 2010, and its first road win since 2006, with a 2-0 shutout at Sacred Heart on Friday, Nov. 1. Megan Bohse and Gabrielle Sullivan scored for the Saints who improved to 1-4 in the MAAC and 1-14 overall. Sullivan's goal was her team-leading fourth of the season, while she also leads Siena with eight points. Therese Tremblay checks in with two goals and three assists for seven points. Megan Mayers leads Siena with five assists for the year. 
 

All-Time Against Siena
Quinnipiac has won 19 of the 20 meetings against Siena, including 14 consecutive victories to date. Siena's last win came on Oct. 15, 2000 when they defeated Quinnipiac, 2-1, on the Bobcats' home turf. Quinnipiac is 9-0 all-time in Loudonville.
