Quinnipiac Student-Athletes Help With Freshmen Move-In

Student-athletes from several Quinnipiac Athletics' teams were on hand on Wedneday, Aug. 22 to assist incoming Quinnipiac freshmen move into their residence halls. 

Members of the field hockey, men's ice hockey, men's soccer, women's volleyball, women's rugby, women's soccer and men's and women's cross country teams assembled on "Dorm Road" to assist freshmen, and their parents, in unloading their cars. 

"I'm very proud of our coaches and student-athletes for volunteering their time to help Quinnipiac's freshmen with the move-in process," Director of Athletics & Recreation Jack McDonald said. "For over 16 years, our student-athletes have eargerly volunteered to assist in moving the freshmen into their residence halls as part of Quinnipiac Athletics' Positive Play program."

Quinnipiac's Positive Play play is designed to encourage community involvement for Bobcat student-athletes, coaches and staff. Each year, Quinnipiac student-athletes donate countless hours to help in the Quinnipiac, Hamden and surrounding communities, while also raising money for a variety of charities.
