Quinnipiac Acrobatics & Tumbling Announces Tri-Captains For 2014-15
Quinnipiac University acrobatics & tumbling head coach Mary Ann Powers has announced that Stephanie Palange (West Springfield, Mass.), Christine Rochester (Waterford, Conn.) and Cara Seckinger (Danbury, Conn.) will serve as captains for the upcoming 2014-15 season.

No. 3 Quinnipiac Meets No. 2 Azusa Pacific in NCATA National Semifinals, Saturday, April 26
After a nail-biting win over Hawai’i Pacific on Friday evening, the Quinnipiac acrobatics and tumbling team will face Azusa Pacific in the semifinals of the NCATA National Tournament on Saturday, April 26. This will be the second time this year that these two programs meet. Quinnipiac currently occupies third place in the NCATA Tournament, while the Cougars sit just ahead of them in second place. The teams will take the mat at 12:30 pm (PST) at the Felix Event Center on the Azusa Pacific Campus

Acrobatics and Tumbling Falls in NCATA National Semifinals to Azusa Pacific 284.725-278.140
The Quinnipiac acrobatics and tumbling team was defeated by Azusa Pacific, 284.725-278.140, in the 2014 NCATA National Semifinals match at the Felix Event Center on Saturday Afternoon. The Bobcats completed a successful fourth season in the NCATA with a 6-3 overall record.

Acrobatics and Tumbling Advance to NCATA National Semifinals with 280.740-279.665 Win Over Hawai’i Pacific
Only 1.075 points separated the winner, No. 3 Quinnipiac University Bobcats, from the No. 6 Hawai’i Pacific Sea Warriors on Friday evening in the NCATA National Quarterfinals. The Bobcats were able to pull off a 280.74-279.665, win over Hawai’i Pacific at the Rex Pyles Arena. With the win, Quinnipiac advances on to the NCATA National Semifinals on Saturday, April 26, for the second consecutive year.

Acrobatics & Tumbling Claim Twisting Pyramid Event at NCATA Individual Events; Three Bobcats Recognized as All-Americans
The Quinnipiac University acrobatics & tumbling team scored a perfect 10 to take home their only event in the Twisting Pyramid at the NCATA Individual National Championships on Thursday evening. Along with the event title, three Bobcats were recognized by the NCATA for their achievement on the mats for the 2014 season. Sophomores Brooke Artz (Whitman, Mass.) and Kayla McCormack (Hanson, Mass.) along with freshman Kelsey Rule (Kendall Park, N.J.) were named to the All-American Team. Rule also picked up the NCATA Freshman of the Year Award. Quinnipiac opens competition of the three-day event at the Rex Pyles Arena in Azua, Calif. this weekend.

After concluding their 2014 regular season at 5-2, the Quinnipiac acrobatics and tumbling team will face Hawaii Pacific in the quarterfinals of the NCATA National Tournament on Friday, April 25. This will be the second time this year that these two programs meet. Quinnipiac currently occupies third place in the NCATA Tournament, while the Sea Warriors sit in sixth place. The teams will take the mat at 5:15 pm (PST). Hawaii Pacific finished the regular season at 1-5 in its inaugural campaign.

Acrobatics and Tumbling Ranked Third in NCATA Coaches Poll
The Quinnipiac acrobatics & tumbling team was recently ranked third in the NCATA Coaches Poll, announced on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 by coaches on the committee. This is the second time this season Quinnipiac was selected in the third spot for the poll. The Bobcats are 5-2 overall after concluding the 2014 regular season on the road in Philippi, W.Va. with back-to-back wins against Alderson Broaddus and Fairmont State.

Acrobatics and Tumbling Garners First Place in Tri-Meet Over Alderson Broaddus and Fairmont State
The Quinnipiac Acrobatics and Tumbling team defeated Alderson Broaddus and Fairmont State in their second tri-meet of the season. The Bobcats came out on top with a winning total of 281.89. Fairmont State followed the Bobcats with a final score of 274.23, while Alderson Broaddus finished with 272.03 points. The Bobcats improves to 5-2 on the 2014 regular season. Fairmont State stands at 6-2, while Alderson Broaddus drop to 2-7. Quinnipiac took five out of the six events while Alderson Broaddus scored high in the Acro event.

Quinnipiac Acrobatics & Tumbling Wraps Up Regular Season, Saturday, April 5; Bobcats Face Alderson Broaddus and Fairmont State
The Quinnipiac acrobatics and tumbling team looks to close out their 2014 regular season on Saturday, April 5. The Bobcats will face Alderson Broaddus and Fairmont State in their second tri-meet of the season. Quinnipiac who currently occupies third place in the NCATA will meet the Battlers and Fighting Falcons in Philippi, W.Va. at the Rex Pyles Arena on the Alderson Broaddus campus. The teams will take the mat at 6 pm. Alderson Broaddus enters its inaugural season in the NCATA and is currently 2-5 this season. Fairmont State stands at 5-1, while the Bobcats enter Saturday’s match up at 3-2.

The Quinnipiac acrobatics and tumbling team defeated Hawaii Pacific University, 270.96-266.54, on Wednesday evening at Moanalua High School in Honolulu, Hawaii. Bobcats improve to 3-2 while Hawaii Pacific drops to 0-2 for the 2014 season.

The Quinnipiac acrobatics and tumbling team looks to bounce back after a tough start to their road trip to the west coast. The Bobcats will visit Hawaii Pacific on Wednesday, March 12, in Honolulu, Hawaii. The teams will take the mat at 7 pm (HST). Hawaii Pacific enters its inaugural season in the NCATA and is off to a 0-1 start to the year. The Bobcats enter Wednesday's match up at 2-2, halfway through the 2014 season.

Acrobatics and Tumbling Finish Third in Tri-Meet Against Oregon and Azusa Pacific
The Quinnipiac acrobatics & tumbling team finished 10.4 points behind first-place Oregon on Monday evening at the Matthew Knight Arena in front of a crowd of 1,242. The Bobcats' total of 270.18 was also edged by Azusa Pacific’s 278.36, as the Cougars finished in second and the Bobcats in third. The Ducks finished with a winning score of 280.57, to earn its second and third win of the season, improving to 3-0 on the year. The Cougars improve to 2-1 while the Bobcats fall to 2-2.

Quinnipiac Acrobatics & Tumbling Travels to Oregon to Face Ducks and Cougars On Monday, March 10
The Quinnipiac acrobatics and tumbling team looks to continue its 2014 season as they make their way across the country to visit the 2013 NCATA National Champions, the University of Oregon Ducks and the Azusa Pacific Cougars in their first tri-meet of the season. The teams will take the mat at 7 pm (PT) at the Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Ore. The Bobcats are quickly off to a perfect 2-0 start for their 2014 campaign. Oregon and Azusa each stand at 1-0 this year. This meet will prove crucial for the Bobcats as they stand in between No. 1 Oregon and No. 3 Azusa Pacific in the NCATA Coaches Poll.

Quinnipiac Defeats Baylor in Acrobatics & Tumbling Thriller in Front of Record Crowd
In front of a record crowd of 1,289, less than one-tenth of a point separated Quinnipiac University and Baylor University in the acrobatics & tumbling meet heading into the last heat. Advantage Bobcats. Quinnipiac erased its .08 deficit on the final heat, the Team event, and claimed a 279.39-278.83 victory at the TD Bank Sports Center – Quinnipiac’s first-ever win over the Bears. The Bobcats improved to 2-0 this year, while Baylor fell to 0-2.

Acrobatics & Tumbling Host Ninth Annual Cheer and Dance Challenge Saturday, February 15
Hamden, Conn. – The Quinnipiac Acrobatics and Tumbling team is teaming up with the Quinnipiac Athletic Student Trainers Club for its ninth annual Cheer and Dance Challenge. The event is set to take place, Saturday, Feb. 15 at the Recreation Center on the Mount Carmel Campus at 10:00 a.m. The proceeds collected this weekend will directly benefit the Connecticut March of Dimes and the Kendall Pallone Trust Fund, which was founded by acrobatics and tumbling head coach Mary Ann Powers in 2012.

Hamden, Conn.- The Quinnipiac acrobatics and tumbling team defeated Gannon University, 279.575-260.895, in its 2014 season opener Saturday afternoon at the TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden, Conn. Quinnipiac solidified their first win of the season in front of a record crowd of 1,107. The Bobcats, fresh off of being 2013 runners-up in the NCATA National tournament now stand at 1-0 on the season, while Gannon drops to 0-1.

The Bobcats open their fourth season in the National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association after finishing 2013 as runners-up in the 2013 NCATA National Championship.

Quinnipiac Acrobatics and Tumbling head coach Mary Ann Powers announced her squad's 2014 schedule Friday, January 10, marking its fourth year competing in the National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association (NCATA). The Bobcats will compete in five regular season events, including two home stints at the TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden, before competing in the NCATA National Championships.
