Bill Mecca To Appear On "The Back Page" Thursday

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac University Senior Associate Athletic Director Bill Mecca will join Jason Page on ESPN Radio 1410 and 1300's (Hartford/New Haven) "The Back Page" on Thursday from 3-5 p.m. Page will discuss Thursday's NCAA Tournament action with the Quinnipiac Athletics Hall of Famer.

The show can be heard on AM-1410 WPOP in the Hartford area and AM-1300 WAVZ in the New Haven area. It can also be accessed via the internet by visiting "The Back Page" homepage.

Mecca has remained an integral part of Quinnipiac Athletics for more than 30 years, serving as a coach and administrator – including the last eight as the senior associate athletic director – making him the longest tenured member of the Quinnipiac University Athletics Staff.

From 1991-96 Mecca was the men's basketball head coach following a 13-year term as the associate head coach to Quinnipiac coaching legend, Burt Kahn. He currently provides color commentary and/or sideline reporting for radio and television broadcasts of Quinnipiac basketball and ice hockey games on NESN, MSG and WQUN AM 1220.
