Basketball and Beyond: Week 5
Let me start off saying that we didn't look past St. Francis (Pa.); we just didn't play well in the second half. Basketball and Beyond: Week 4
After the St Francis (N.Y.) game was over, all I thought about was how I was going to react to senior night. Everyone in my family was calling me for tickets because they said it was special for me, but I thought it wasn't. I thought it was just a regular game for us to win against a good LIU team. Waking up that Saturday morning, it finally hit me. It was going to be my senior day and my whole family was coming to support me. Leading up to the game, I tried not to think about it, but everyone kept on asking me questions on how I feel. My response was, 'I just want to play already.' On game days, I tend to get a little bit hyper, but I have ways to clam myself down. But I couldn't find a way that day.

Basketball and Beyond: Week 3
After losing our first game in a long time to Mount St. Mary's, we forgot how losing tasted. We didn't like the taste of losing especially to a team we beat at home. But Coach Moore always tells us it tough to win on the road in any league. Personally, I had the worst game of my career (1-14 shooting) and sitting at the back of the bus for 6 hours in pitch black didn't help me. After a loss we cannot watch movies or talk on the bus because Coach Moore wants us to learn from the loss. The whole bus ride back to school I was killing myself about every shot I missed, but I have to give credit to their team defense. They really played me tough. In the back of my mind, I knew I had to bounce back quickly from that game because rivalry week was coming up and we had to win those games against Sacred Heart. The next couple of days, I stayed in the gym after practice to watch film and shoot about 300 jump shots each day.

Basketball and Beyond: Week 2
Since school has been back in session, I've been getting a number of questions about the team. Most were about me getting 1,000 points and others asked about our record. When I answered, most people were surprised and shocked that we were doing so well. The next question was, 'When is your next game?' Our next game was the first Thursday back from winter break. We were playing Bryant, a team that beat us twice last year. This was a big game for us because we just beat them the weekend before and wanted to show everyone we are a different team. Once I came out for warm-ups, I saw some students cheering, and we'd love to see even more support in the future. After all, we're in first place in the NEC and we've won seven straight games.
