HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac University men's basketball team came out flying against Iona and defeated one of the MAAC's perennial powers, 86-74, in a game that was televised live on SNY at the TD Bank Sports Center. Zaid Hearst (Bethesda, Md.) led the way with a career high 23 points and five rebounds, while Ike Azotam (Boston, Mass.) recorded his 34th career double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds.
Quinnipiac is back in action on Thursday, Jan. 9 with its third game in a six-day stretch. The Bobcats host the MAAC preseason favorite Manhattan College with tip-off is slated for 7:30 p.m. at the TD Bank Sports Center. The game will be televised on SNY.
