Men's Ice Hockey Will Host Union On Saturday At TD Banknorth Sports Center

The
Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team will host Union College
on Saturday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. at the TD Banknorth Sports Center in
Hamden, Conn. The Bobcats own a six-game unbeaten streak and have
posted an impressive 9-2-1 record in their last 12 games as they
stand at 11-6-2 overall and 6-3-2 in ECAC Hockey action, good for
second place in the league standings. Union enters tonight's game
looking for their their straight victory after back-to-back wins
over UMass Lowell, 2-1 on Jan. 3, and Princeton, 3-2 last night in
Princeton, N.J. Union is 10-8-1 overall and 3-4-0 in ECAC
Hockey.

All-Time
Against Union
Quinnipiac
is 8-3-1 all-time in 12 meetings with Union College. Quinnipiac
faced Union in the season opener - a non-league game - at the
Mutual of Omaha Stampede hosted by the University of Nebraska-Omaha
earlier this season. The Bobcats took an early lead but lost in
overtime, 6-5, to the Dutchmen. Quinnipiac is 2-1-0 all-time at the
TD Banknorth Sports Center including back-to-back wins in the
2006-07 ECAC Hockey Tournament First Round. In three of their last
five meetings, the two teams have gone to overtime with the Bobcats
posting a 1-1-1 record.
