HAMDEN, Conn. ECAC Hockey Tournament playoff tickets are now on sale as the No. 7-seeded Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team prepares to host a First Round Series against No. 10 seed Colgate University. The best-of-three series will take place March 6-8 (third game if necessary), with each game starting at 7 p.m. They will be the final hockey games played at the TD Banknorth Sports Center in 2008-09.
The league's playoff prices for single-game tickets are $15 for premium seats and $13 for regular seats. Additional playoff packages are available for $36 (three games at $12 per ticket). There is no special pricing for children or seniors. All 2008-09 season ticket holders for Quinnipiac men's hockey have already received their playoff tickets as part of their original allotment.
Tickets are available online for Game One (Friday, March 6) and Game Two (Saturday, March 7) ONLY beginning at noon on Monday, March 2 at QuinnipiacBobcats.com. No online ticket sales are available for Game Three (Sunday, March 8 if necessary). Online ticket sales for Game One will end on Thursday, March 5 at midnight and online ticket sales for Game Two will end on Friday, March 6 at midnight. Tickets are also available by calling 203-582-3905 or visiting the ticket box office at the TD Banknorth Sports Center located at 305 Sherman Avenue in Hamden, Conn. Ticket box office hours of operation are 10 a.m.4 p.m. on weekdays.
Per ECAC Hockey postseason regulations, only the audio stream and not a video stream of the games will be broadcast on QuinnipiacBobcats.com. This year represents the third time that Quinnipiac will host Division I conference playoff games in program history. The Bobcats swept their two previous home playoff series (versus Union in 2007 and against Brown in 2008).
