HAMDEN, Conn. - Quinnipiac University sophomore Scott Zurevinski (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) was featured on Insidecollegehockey.com. Zurevinski continues a string of Bobcat players, following last year's selection Dan Henningson, in the INCH A-Z season preview feature. Last season, he was also named the team's Rookie of the Year.
Zurevinski is set to kick-off his second season with the Bobcats after a freshman campaign that saw the 6-3, 210 pound forward contribute 11 goals and 18 points to Quinnipiac's line-up. Zurevinski wasted little time in making his mark in the Bobcats' record book with his first collegiate point in his first collegiate game. Zurevinski assisted on a goal against Union at the Mutual of Omaha Stampede tournament in Quinnipiac's 2007-08 season opener. His first goal came against Connecticut on Nov. 15 in a 4-1 Bobcats' victory in their home-opener at the TD Bank Sports Center, while his first multiple goal outing came in a 5-1 romp of Rensselaer on Nov. 15.
Quinnipiac hits the ice on Oct. 4 when they host Prince Edward Island University in an exhibition game at the TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden, Conn. After a two-game series at Ohio State on Oct. 8-9, the Bobcats return home for the 2009-10 home opener when they host Bentley on Oct. 17 at 4 p.m.
