seconds into overtime as Quinnipiac held-off Bentley University,
3-2, before a sell-out crowd of 3,164 at the TD Bank Sports Center
in Hamden, Conn. Brandon Wong scored and assisted on another goal
in the game while Reese Rolheiser scored his first career goal.
Scouting Robert Morris University
Robert Morris currently stands at 1-3-0 overall following a
season-opening loss to No. 17 Alaska-Fairbanks on Oct. 16 before
they picked up their first win of the season on Oct. 17 with a 5-3
victory against Alaska-Anchorage. They were then swept by Ferris
State last weekend, 5-4 in overtime and 4-1. Denny Urben leads
Robert Morris with two goals and three assists, followed by Chris
Kushneriuk's two goals and two assists. Nathan Longpre leads the
Colonials with four assists. In all, eight different Colonials have
scored through RMU's first four games, including four players with
multiple goals (Urban, Kushneriuk, Scott Kobialko and Cody
Crichton).
All-Time Against Robert Morris
Quinnipiac is 7-2-1 all-time against Robert Morris. The Colonials
took the last meeting between both teams, 8-5 at the TD Bank Sports
Center. Heading into that game, Quinnipiac had won seven straight
meetings, including all four games in Moon Township, Pa.
Sometimes It's Funny How These Things Work
After a win against Bentley dropped Quinnipiac from 18th to 20th in
the USCHO.com/CBS College Sports Poll, a weekend off allowed
Quinnipiac to move back into the 18th spot.
Assistant Captains
Seniors Brandon Wong and Mike Atkinson will serve as assistant
captains for the 2009-10 season, as announced by head coach Rand
Pecknold on Monday, Oct. 26. Wong was voted as an assistant just
prior to the Bobcats' series against Ohio State, while Quinnipiac
voted Atkinson to wear the "A" just this week.
One of Three
Quinnipiac is one of three undefeated and untied teams in the
nation, as well as Massachusetts and Western Michigan.
Wong-Dinger
With two goals and four assists, Brandon Wong leads ECAC Hockey in
scoring, while also landing on the national scene as one of seven
players with 2.00 points or more per game.
Dynamic Duo
Wong's six points, and Eric Lampe's five points (3-2), make
Quinnipiac one of five teams, including UMass, Sacred Heart, New
Hampshire and Minnesota Duluth, to feature more than one player in
the top 20 in scoring.
Light The Lamp(e)
Eric Lampe's three goals in three games make him one of 11 players
nationally averaging a goal or more per game.
Reese's Pieces
Reese Rolheiser became the first of Quinnipiac's 13 freshmen to
score a goal this season. Rolheiser, who didn't dress the season
opener, scored Quinnipiac's first goal in their 3-2 win against
Bentley two weeks ago.
Z In O-T
Scott Zurevinski scored the game-winner, just 29 seconds into
overtime, against Bentley on Oct. 17 to give Quinnipiac a 3-2
victory.

in Quinnipiac's Division I history, and the 16th player all-time at
QU to score 50 goals in a career.
There's Going To Be A Lot Of This
Of the nine goalies in the nation with a 1.000 winning percentage,
three wear the Quinnipiac blue-and-gold, giving Quinnipiac the only
team with three undefeated goalies in the country.

percentage and third with a 1.00 goals-against average. He is one
of four goalies nationally with a GAA of 1.00 or lower.
