The Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team hosts ECAC Hockey
foe Colgate in a league match-up at the TD Bank Sports Center in
Hamden, Conn. The Bobcats and Raiders hit the ice at 8 p.m. in a
game nationally-televised on CBS College Sports, available on
DirecTV on Channel 613. Encore presentations of the game will air
at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 6 and 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 7.
Quinnipiac is coming off a 2-0 loss to #5 Cornell on Friday night,
while Colgate defeated Princeton, 3-1. The Bobcats are currently
13-12-2 overall and 7-8-0 in ECAC Hockey play. Colgate is 11-10-5
overall and 8-5-1 against ECAC Hockey.

The "Voice of the Bobcats" Bill Schweizer will have the
play-by-play for tonight's game against the Raiders. Todd Caroll
will handle the color commentary duties.

Tonight's game on CBS College Sports will feature Dave Ryan with
the play-by-play and Dave Starman with the color. The game is
available on DirecTV on Channell 613.
All-Time Against Colgate
Quinnipiac and Colgate have met 15 times since the Bobcats joined
ECAC Hockey in 2005. All-time, Quinnipiac is 6-8-1 against the
Raiders, with a 4-4-0 mark on their home sheet and a 2-4-1 mark at
Colgate's Starr Rink. Quinnipiac and Colgate met five times last
season, with the Colgate winning both regular-season games, 1-0 in
Hamden on Nov. 7 and 3-2 in Ithaca on Feb. 7. Quinnipiac hosted
Colgate for the ECAC Hockey Tournament First Round in a series that
saw all three games go to overtime, with the Bobcats winning the
first and third games to clinch the series and move on to the
Quarterfinals. Quinnipiac won the first game between these two
teams, 5-3 on Nov. 20, 2010 in Hamilton, N.Y.
Scouting Colgate University
Colgate is currently 11-10-5 overall and 8-5-1 in ECAC Hockey
action following a 3-1 win against Princeton. They currently sit in
fifth place in the league standings. The Raiders feature one of
three players in ECAC Hockey to have totaled 30 points to date in
Austin Smith (11-22-33). David McIntyre is the only senior among
the top five scorers in the Colgate line-up, sitting in second
place with nine goals and 19 assists for 28 points. Brian Day leads
the Raiders, while ranking second in ECAC Hockey, with 16 goals to
go along with 10 assists for 26 points. Smith had a goal and an
assist against Princeton last night, while McIntyre also added a
goal. Ethan Cox scored the game-winner for the Raiders. Francois
Brisebois (10-8-18) and Robbie Bourbon (6-9-15) fill out the top
five. Alex Evin got the start in goal against Princeton, stopping
23 of 24 shots for the win.
