The Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team will host nationally ranked No. 11/12 Union on Saturday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. at the TD Bank Sports Center. Quinnipiac overcame a two-goal deficit against RPI on Friday night to come back and tie the Engineers, 3-3, to move to 13-10-5 overall and 6-6-4 in ECAC Hockey play. Union defeated Princeton, 7-4, on Friday night after trailing 4-1 in the second period before scoring six unanswered goals for the win. The Dutchmen are 19-7-3 overall and 11-3-1 in ECAC Hockey play and sit in second place in the league standings.

All-Time Against Union
Quinnipiac and Union have faced each other 18 time since their first match-up on Dec. 3, 2000, with the Dutchmen winning nine games in the all-time series, which also featured one tie. Last season, the two teams squared off in the ECAC Hockey Tournament Quarterfinals, with the Dutchment winning the last two games to advance. Quinnipiac took the first game in the series, a five overtime thriller that ended with a goal from Greg Holt that capped off the longest game in college hockey history. Quinnipiac is 4-3-0 all-time on its home ice against Union.

Scouting The Dutchmen
Union is currently 19-7-3 overall and 11-3-1 in ECAC Hockey play, good for second place in the league standings. The Dutchmen are currently ranked 11th in the USCHO.com and 12th in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Division I polls. Winners of eight of their last 10 games, Union has won four straight, including a win over previous ranked No. 1 Yale. On Friday, Feb. 4, Union trailed Princeton by four goals before scoring six unanswered markers to pull-out a 7-4 victory at Hobey Baker Rink. Seven different Dutchmen scored in the win, including Brock Matheson, Adam Presizniuk, Jeremy Welsh, Greg Coburn, Kelly Zajac, Daniel Carr and Mat Bodie. Keith Kinkaid stopped 28 shots in goal. The Dutchmen are led by a trie of 30-point scorers in Welsh (14-17--31), Carr (16-14--30) and Zajac (9-21--30). For the year, Kinkaid is 18-7-2 with a .920 save percentage and a 2.01 goals-against average. Union has the fifth highest scoring offense (3.66) and fourth best scoring defense (2.10) in the country, while also boasting a NCAA Division I leading 30.7 (39-127) power play percentage.

The Unbeaten Streak
Quinnipiac currently holds the fifth best unbeaten streak (5, 2-0-3) in the country, trailiing Western Michigan (12, 7-0-5), RIT (8, 4-0-4) and Rensselaer (6, 5-0-1) and are tied with Wisconsin (5, 5-0-0) and Cornell (5, 3-0-2).

Second Half Resurrgence
Since a loss to Providence on Dec. 11, just before the break, Quinnipiac has lost just once in their last 10 games, posting a 5-1-4 mark.

Scoring in Bunches
Jeremy Langlois scored twice on Friday night against RPI, giving the sophomore center his third two-goal performance in his last five games. Langlois (15-5--20) is the Bobcats' first 20-point scorer this season.

The Conn Man
Connor Jones scored the game-tying goal midway through the third period against Rensselaer. The first-year Bobcat now has eight goals and nine assists for 17 points.
