Bobcats And The Big Green
The Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey team will travel to
Hanover, N.H. to take on Dartmouth College on Friday, Feb. 11 in an
ECAC Hockey match-up at 7 p.m. Quinnipiac is currently 13-11-5
overall and 6-7-4 in ECAC Hockey play, good for 7th place in the
league standings. Dartmouth is 13-7-3 overall and 9-5-2 in the
league standings, good for a tie with Cornell for 4th place.

All-Time Against Dartmouth
Quinnipiac holds an 9-5-1 record in 15 meetings all-time against
Dartmouth, dating back to their first meeting on Oct. 30, 2004.
Quinnipiac won the first head-to-head match-up this season, 2-0, at
the TD Bank Sports Center on Nov. 19. Last season, Quinnipiac and
the Big Green split the regular-season series, with the home team
winning in both cases. The two teams squared off in the first round
of the ECAC Hockey Tournament, with the Bobcats winning the first
and third games to advance to the quarterfinal round. Including
last season's ECAC Hockey Tournament, Quinnipiac has won six of the
last eight games between the two teams.
Scouting The Big Green
Dartmouth is currently 13-7-3 overall and 9-5-2 in ECAC Hockey
play, good for a tie of 4th place in the league standings. In
addition, Dartmouth is ranked 17th in the USCHO.com Division I poll
and is receiving votes in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll.
Dartmouth's Scott Fleming leads the Big Green in goals (11) and
points (24), while also ranking second in assists (13). Doug Jones
(6-14--20) and Matt Reber (5-14--19) are tied for the team assists
lead. Freshman Matt Lindbland checks with eight goals and 11
assists for 19 points while Adam Estoclet rounds out Dartmouth's
top 5 with eight goals and 10 assists for 18 points. In goal, James
Mello has seen a majority of the time in net, posting a 11-4-3
record with a 2.11 goals-against average an a .933 save
percentage.
Their Last Time Out
When the Bobcats faced Dartmouth on Nov. 19 at the TD Bank Sports
Center, John Dunbar and Scott Zurevinski both scored for Quinnipiac
while Eric Hartzell posted a 31-save shutout.
Scoring in Bunches
Jeremy Langlois scored twice last Friday night against RPI, giving
the sophomore center his third two-goal performance in his last six
games. Langlois (15-5--20) is the Bobcats' first 20-point scorer
this season. His 15 goals rank third among all ECAC Hockey players
this season.
Dynamic Duo
Jeremy Langlois joins Scott Zurevinski as the only two players on
the Bobcats' roster with multiple two-goal games this season.
Good
Company
Barron is the first Quinnipiac defenseman to lead the team in
assists since former All-American Reid Cashman did it in 2006-07.
Cashman led the team in apples all four years at QU.
Stay
Hot Langer
Langlois led Quinnipiac to a 3-1-3 record for the month of January
with a team-best seven goals for a team-leading seven points for
the month.
Among The National Leaders
Eric Hartzell's .926 save percentage ranks 11th among all Division
I men's ice hockey players, and fifth among all ECAC Hockey
goalies. Hartzell's .667 (10-4-4) winning percentage ranks 16th
overall and fifth in ECAC Hockey.

Loren Barron's 13 assists rank third among all ECAC Hockey
blueliners this season. Barron is the first Quinnipiac defenseman
to lead the team in assists since Reid Cashman.
