Over the last three years, Pecknold has coordinated several
fundraising activities on behalf of Quinnipiac, including the
"Blades & Skates" event in 2008 to benefit St. Baldrick's
children's cancer research. The event, through efforts by Pecknold
and Quinnipiac men's ice hockey's student-athletes, helped to raise
over $27,000 for children's cancer research. In recent years, the
Bobcats have also donated funds to benefit Autism Speaks.
