Quinnipiac men's ice hockey will take on Ohio State on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. in the second game of the Bobcats' two-game series in Columbus, Ohio. Bobcat fans can listen live on AM 1220 WQUN as the "Voice of the Bobcats" Bill Schweizer brings you all the action, play-by-play. Live stats and video are also available.
Quinnipiac lost the first game of the series last night, 2-1, to the Buckeyes. Spencer Heichman (Yorba Linda, Calif.) accounted for the Bobcats' only tally of the night, with assists credited to Jeremy Langlois (Tempe, Ariz.) and Mike Dalhuisen (Nymegen, Holland).
Starting goalie Eric Hartzell (White Bear Lake, Minn.) was seemingly untested for most of the night, but brilliant when it mattered. The junior netminder kicked away 14 of the 16 shots that Ohio State managed to fire off. The Bobcats outshot the Buckeyes 36-16 for the game, including a 16-4 edge in the second period.
Quinnipiac returns home on Wednesday, Oct. 12 for its home-opener against Holy Cross at 7 p.m. at High Point Solutions Arena at the TD Bank Sports Center.
