The Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team will hit the ice on Saturday, March 10 for Game 2 of the its ECAC Hockey Championship Quarterfinals match-up at Colgate. Colgate won the first game of the series, 4-2, on Friday, Mar. 9 and lead the best-of-three series, 1-0. A Quinnipiac win tonight would force a deciding third game on Sunday, Mar. 11 at 7 p.m., while a Colgate win would end the Bobcats' season and send the Raiders to the ECAC Hockey Championship Semifinals in Atlantic City, N.J. next weekend.
Connor Jones (Montrose, British Columbia) became the seventh Quinnipiac player to score twice in an ECAC Hockey tournament game. Both of Connor's goals came on the power play, with Loren Barron (Glendora, Calif.) assisting on both, while Kellen Jones (Montrose, British Columbia) and Matthew Peca (Petawawa, Ontario) also had assists. Eric Hartzell (White Bear Lake, Minn.) stopped 32 shots on goal in the loss.
