Quinnipiac men's ice hockey junior Jeremy Langlois (Tempe, Ariz.) was named the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week on Oct. 18, 2011. Langlois totaled four goals and two assists in a 3-0 week that saw Quinnipiac defeat Holy Cross and sweep Canisius.
Langlois had an assist on Ben Arnt's game-winning goal in a 5-3 win against Holy Cross on Wednesday, Oct. 12. He followed that with the first natural hat trick in three seasons when he scored three straight in a 7-1 romp of Canisius on Saturday, Oct. 15. Langlois also had an assist in the Bobcats' win for a career-best four points. He then scored in the Bobcats' 4-0 shutout against the Griffs on Sunday, Oct. 16 to give Quinnipiac its first sweep of the season. Three of Langlois' four goals for the week came on the power play.
Last season's Most Valuable Player, and Rookie of the Year as a freshman, Langlois currently carries a stat line of six goals and three assists for nine points, while he also leads the nation in power play goals.
Quinnipiac is back in action when they host Bentley on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. at High Point Solutions Arena at the TD Bank Sports Center. The Bobcats head out on the road this weekend when they face Robert Morris in a two-game set in Moon Township, Pa. Quinnipiac then plays their next three games on the road, against ECAC Hockey foes Princeton, Dartmouth and Harvard, before returning home on Nov. 11-12 to face Clarkson and St. Lawrence, respectively.
