Quinnipiac men's ice hockey twin brothers Connor and Kellen Jones,
as well as freshman linemate Matthew Peca were featured in the New
Haven Register on Thursday, March. 8. The article, penned by the
Register's Chip Malafronte, details the emergence of the potent
offensive line as one of the best in ECAC Hockey.
Connor and Kellen Jones (Montrose, British Columbia) are the only
players in the Bobcats' lineup to reach double figures in both
goals and assists. Connor leads the team with 27 assists while
adding 10 goals for a team-leading 37 points. Kellen has scored 13
goals while assisting on 21 more for 34 points. Peca slots in
between the twins with 35 points (8 goals, 27 assists).
Quinnipiac will take on Colgate in the ECAC Hockey Championship
Quarterfinals this weekend at Starr Rink in Hamilton, N.Y. The
best-of-three series is set to begin on Friday, Mar. 9, with the
series' additional games to be played Saturday and Sunday (if
needed) at 7 p.m.
