Quinnipiac men's ice hockey senior Jeremy Langlois (Tempe, Ariz.) was the latest featured athlete on InsideCollegeHockey.com's "INCH A-Z". Langlois has led the Bobcats in goals scored in each of the last two seasons and is the active leading goal scorer in ECAC Hockey.
Langlois is coming off a team-leading 17-goal season that also featured nine assists as he stood out as one of four players on the Bobcats' roster to total 25 or more points last season. In 2010-11, Langlois found the back of the net 18 times, making him the first player since Ben Nelson in 2004-05 and 2005-06 to score 15 goals in consecutive seasons.
Langlois' 43 career goals rank 28th all-time and 20th at the Division I level at Quinnipiac. The fourth-year wing would need seven goals to become the 17th player all-time and 10th at the Division I level to score 50 goals in his career. The 2009-10 team Rookie of the Year, Langlois scored eight goals while assisting on 12 more for 20 points in his inaugural season.
Previous Quinnipiac players highlighted on the popular feature include Loren Barron, Zach Davies, Scott Zurevinski, Dan Henningson and Jamie Bates.
Quinnipiac opens the season on Saturday, Oct. 6 when it travels to Orono, Me. to face the University of Maine at 7 p.m. The Bobcats will then host Acadia for an exhibition game on Sunday, Oct. 7 at 4 p.m.
