Following Quinnipiac's win on Saturday night, Maine dropped five spots to No. 20. In addition, Merrimack, who defeated ECAC Hockey's Union, momved into the 19th spot. Quinnipiac won the game on the combined efforts of freshman Travis St. Denis' (Trail, British Columbia) first career goal, as well as a 31-save performance by senior goalie Eric Hartzell (White Bear Lake, Minn.). In addition, transfer Jordan Samuels-Thomas (Windsor, Conn.) scored in his first game for Quinnipiac after sitting out last season with 1:26 remaining in regulation to break a 1-1 tie.
Quinnipiac will host Robert Morris this weekend. The Bobcats and Colonials will play at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13 and 12 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14. Following the Bobcats tilt against their non-conference foe, the men's ice hockey team will host its St. Baldrick's head shaving event on Lender Court at the TD Bank Sports Center.
