The Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team was ranked 20th in the latest USCHO.com Division I Poll, released on Monday, Oct. 15. Quinnipiac is currently 2-1-0 through its first three-game. The Bobcats also received 19 votes in the latest USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Division I Poll, also released on Monday, Oct. 15.
Quinnipiac split its two-game series against Robert Morris this past weekend, shutting out the Colonials 4-0 before falling to RMU by the same score on the following night. On Saturday, Eric Hartzell (White Bear Lake, Minn.) stopped all 16 shots on goal by the Colonials for his sixth career shutout and 30th career save. Loren Barron (Glendora, Calif.) had a goal and an assist while Clay Harvey (Gull Lake, Saskatchewan) added two assists for the night. Jeremy Langlois (Tempe, Ariz.), Russell Goodman (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) and Cory Hibbeler (St. Louis, Mo.) also scored for the Bobcats.
Quinnipiac is back in action this weekend when it hosts Ohio State for a two-game set on Friday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 20 at 4 p.m.
