Quinnipiac Men's Ice Hockey Ranked No. 1 In National Polls For Third Consecutive Week

The Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team was ranked as the No. 1 team in college hockey for the third consecutive week. The Bobcats received 37 first-place votes in the USCHO.com poll and 30 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll. Quinnipiac also remains in the top spot in the PairWise Rankings.
Quinnipiac rolled to a 4-1 win against No. 13 Yale on Friday, Feb. 22 in an ECAC Hockey match-up that was nationally broadcast on NBC Sports. With the win, Quinnipiac improved to 10-0-0 against ranked opponents while also completing the season sweep against the Bulldogs for the first time since 2008. Following a 3-3 tie against Brown on Saturday, the Bobcats are currently 23-4-5 overall and 16-1-3 in ECAC Hockey.
The Bobcats clinched the Cleary Cup for the ECAC Hockey Regular-Season Championship last weekend and have earned a bye in the ECAC Hockey Tournament, set to begin on Mar. 8-10. Quinnipiac will complete its regular-season schedule on Friday, Mar. 1 at Harvard and Saturday, Mar. 2 at Dartmouth. The Bobcats will return home on Mar. 15-17 to host a best-of-three ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals series at High Point Solutions Arena at the TD Bank Sports Center.
