The Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team wrapped-up its 11-day tour of Italy in Rome on Aug. 19-20, 2013. The Bobcats walked the ancient and historical city, viewing such worldly monuments as the Capital, The Pantheon, The Trevi Fountain, The Coliseum and The Vatican.
After a seven-hour bus ride from Bassano del Grappa on Monday, Aug. 19, the Bobcats arrived in Rome at approximately 4 p.m. Most of the student-athletes, coaches, staff and fans made stops at several notable attractions. In addition, on Tuesday, Aug. 20, the group also visited The Vatican Museum, including the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Bassillica. Most then visited the Coliseum, the ancient Roman ruins and also the Constantine Archway.
After two busy days of travel and siteseeing, the Bobcats retired to their hotel for a final dinner together with fans and families, as well as the incredible tour guides and staff of Euro Sports Tours.
