Quinnipiac Men's Ice Hockey Ranked 11th In USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Preseason Poll
The Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team was ranked 11th in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Preseason Top-15 Poll. The Bobcats were also tabbed to finish third in the ECAC Hockey Coaches and Media Preseason Polls.
UMass Lowell earned the top spot in the first preseason poll of the 2013-14 season, given 20 of the polls 30 first-place votes. Miami took the second spot with nine first-place votes, followed by Wisconsin with the remaining vote. Boston College and Minnesota filled out the top five. North Dakota, Notre Dame, Yale, St. Cloud State, and Michigan fell ahead of the Bobcats. Union, New Hampshire, Minnesota State and Providence completed the 15-team field.

Quinnipiac was picked to finish third in the ECAC Hockey Coaches and Media Preseason Polls, as announced by the league office on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at ECAC Hockey's annual Media Day.
The following weekend, Quinnipiac will face 2013 NCAA Frozen Four participant University of Massachusetts-Lowell for a home-and-home series, traveling to the Tsongas Center on Friday, Oct. 18 before hosting the Riverhawks for its regular-season home-opener on Saturday, Oct. 19.
