Quinnipiac Men's Ice Hockey Freshman Sam Anas Featured On FoxCT On Tuesday, Dec. 17

Quinnipiac University men's ice hockey freshman Sam Anas was featured on FoxCT on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 5 p.m. FoxCT Sports director Rich Coppola introduced the feature by Bob Rumbold, who spoke with head coach Rand Pecknold, senior assistant captain Connor Jones and Anas.

Anas was recently named the National College Hockey Player of the Month for November as well as the ECAC Hockey November Rookie of the Month. Anas leads Quinnipiac with 13 goals and 25 points, which doubles as the most among all freshman NCAA Division I men's ice hockey players.

The Bobcats were idle this past weekend and will enjoy another weekend off leading into Quinnipiac's holiday break. Quinnipiac will jump back into the action on Sunday, Dec. 29 when it faces UMass in the first game of the UConn Hockey Classic at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn. at 4 p.m. The other first-round classic match-up will feature host UConn and Sacred Heart.
