The Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team moved up two spots in the latest USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Division I Polls, jumping from 7th to 5th, as announced on Monday, Jan. 13. Quinnipiac is currently 17-3-5 overall including an 8-2-3 (1st) in ECAC Hockey.
The Bobcats are coming off a pair of ECAC Hockey wins this weekend as they knocked off No. 4 Union - who dropped to No. 6 in the polls - and Rensselaer. Bryce Van Brabant (Morinville, Ontario) broke a 1-1 tie with his seventh goal of the season and goalie Michael Garteig (Prince George, British Columbia) against the Dutchmen while six different Bobcats scored in a 6-2 win against RPI.
The Bobcats will play their final non-conference games of the season this weekend when they host Merrimack College on Friday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. at High Point Solutions Arena at the TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden, Conn. before traveling to North Andover, Mass. to play on the Warriors home ice on Saturday, Jan. 18.
