Quinnipiac men's ice hockey seniors Connor and Kellen Jones - recently announced as candidates for the prestigious Hobey Baker Memorial Award - will appear live on The Pipeline Show with Guy Flaming and Dean Millard on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 9:20 p.m.
The duo from Montrose, British Columbia are the first twins to be nominated for the Hobey Baker Award since the organization installed fan voting into award consideration. Bobcat fans can vote once a day for either Connor or Kellen.
Kellen currently ranks 2nd on the Bobcats' roster with 31 points on the strength of 14 goals and 17 assists. Connor has eight goals and 17 assists as well, as the duo are both tied for the team lead. They were both featured in Sports Illustrated's "Faces In The Crowd" after becoming the fifth set of brothers in NCAA history to reach 100 career points while playing together. Connor became the 31st player in Quinnipiac history to reach the 100-point mark in the Bobcats 7-2 win against Colgate on Nov. 1. Kellen reached the 100-point mark against Princeton two weeks later.
Quinnipiac is back in action on Friday, Jan. 31 when it travels to Hanover, N.H. to take on Dartmouth in an ECAC Hockey match-up at Thompson Arena at 7 p.m.
