FRIDAY NIGHT RECAP
Quinnipiac rolled to a 4-0 win at Yale on Friday night, powered by a goal from its captain Cory Hibbeler and three freshmen - Sam Anas, Connor Clifton and Tommy Schutt. In addition, Michael Garteig was brilliant in goal, stopping everything that the Bulldogs threw at him for 33-save shutout.
Quinnipiac was ranked fourth in the latest USCHO.com Division I poll, released on Feb. 10, 2014. This marks the 17th consecutive week that the Bobcats have been ranked in the top 10 nationally.
With a win at Yale, combined with Princeton defeating Brown and Dartmouth knocking off St. Lawrence, Quinnipiac's playoff picture started to clear up. Quinnipiac can finish no lower than sixth place. A win against Brown on Saturday, Feb. 15 would clinch a 5th-or-better seed, while wins in three of its final five games would place the Bobcats in the Top 4 and a ECAC Hockey Tournament First Round bye.
