The 2014 NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Tournament selection show will air on Sunday, Mar. 23 at 12 p.m. Quinnipiac fans can watch live online or on ESPNU for the tournament's seedings and information on where the Bobcats will be playing on Mar. 28-30 for NCAA Regional competition.
Quinnipiac is currently 24-9-6 and nationally-ranked No. 5 in the USCHO.com Division I and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Division I polls. The Bobcats are also sixth in the PairWise Rankings - a system designed to duplicate the selection criteria for the NCAA selection committee.
Recent bracketology projections, provided by USCHO.com, place Quinnipiac as the No. 2 seed in the Bridgeport, Conn. regional, set for Mar. 28-29 at Webster Bank Arena. The 2014 NCAA Frozen Four will be hosted by ECAC and ECAC Hockey at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pa.
In 2013, Quinnipiac won the East Regional in Providence, R.I., defeating Canisius and Union, to advance to its first NCAA Frozen Four appearance in program history. The Bobcats then defeated St. Cloud State to advance to the National Championship game. Quinnipiac is 3-2 all-time in the NCAA Tournament.
