No. 20 Bobcats Move Up To Fourth In NEILA Coaches’ Poll

HAMDEN, Conn. – The nationally-ranked No. 20 Quinnipiac University men's lacrosse team moved up a spot to No. 4 in the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Coaches' Poll, announced on Tuesday, March 5, 2013. Basil Kostaras and Michael Sagl each recorded hat tricks in Saturday's win, as the Bobcats improved to 2-0 for the first time since the 2008 season.

Despite losing in overtime to Brown, who Quinnipiac defeated in its season-opener, the UMass Minutemen remained at the top of the poll. Fairfield grabbed the second spot and was followed by Yale, the Bobcats and Providence to round out the top five. Brown, Harvard and Holy Cross capped off the final eight of this week's edition.

This is a busy upcoming week for the NEILA. There are 15 games this week that feature at least one team from New England. Holy Cross, Vermont and Bryant all travel to take on ranked opponents this week.

Quinnipiac will look for its third straight win on Friday night at Severna Park High School in Maryland. The Bobcats will take on Vermont at 7:45 p.m.
