HAMDEN, Conn. – For the second straight week, the Quinnipiac University men's lacrosse team found its name on the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's (NEILA) Weekly Poll, which was released on Monday, March 10, 2014. Quinnipiac was ranked seventh in this week's edition.
Nationally-ranked No. 14 UMass remained as the region's top team in the census. Yale finished behind the Minutemen while Bryant, Fairfield and Harvard rounded out the top five. Brown, Quinnipiac and Providence wrapped up the final three slots with Hartford, Vermont, Dartmouth and Sacred Heart receiving votes.
The Bobcats (1-2) collected an impressive win at Providence College on March 1, and nearly upended Harvard last week on Tuesday, March 4. The sophomore tandem of Ryan Keenan (Oshawa, Ontario) and Connor Meth (Basking Ridge, N.J.) each scored three-point afternoons in the losing effort to the Crimson. Gill Conners (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) made 17 saves between the pipes.
