Men's Soccer Defeated, 2-0, By Saint Francis (N.Y.)
BROOKLYN, HEIGHTS, N.Y. - The Quinnipiac University men's soccer team fell, 2-0, in a Northeast Conference matchup against Saint Francis (N.Y.) at Aviator Sports & Recreation Complex. The Bobcats overall record now stands at 3-10-1, while its NEC record is 2-5-0. Saint Francis (N.Y.) improves its overall record to 5-8-2, while its NEC record is now 3-5-0.
Saint Francis (N.Y.) registered its first goal in the 36th minute of play, as freshman midfielder James Caicedo scored his first goal of the season on a cross from sophomore midfielder Adam Maabdi. Maabdi is the team-leader in assists with six on the year.
Senior defender Nick Baum scored the second
goal of the contest for the Terriers in the 66th minute
of play, as his header off of a corner kick from freshman
midfielder Kristoffer Lindfors beat sophomore goalkeeper Josh
Lavallee (Upland Calif.).
Quinnipiac held an 18 to 15 shot advantage, as well as a nine to
four corner-kick advantage, but was unable to find the back of the
net against junior goalkeeper Curtis Julien, as he made five saves
on the evening.
